Like other creatures on double bases it can attack all adjacent squares, even the diagonals (MotM)
But in addition, if it attacks a model directly in front of it, all black skulls rolled does un-defendable damage to the target's MP. Or perhaps it results in a stun (hero looses his turn)? Or is unable to defend the rest of the turn?

Kobold (warrior) - weak, but dangerous in great number
M:10 A:2 D:1 BP:1 MP:1
Either ambush: When discovered on the board they aren't placed until the beginning of Morcar's turn.
OR gang-up: Gets +1 attack dice for each kobold warrior that has already attacked that particular hero that turn.

Kobold Sorcerer - Special character with a new deck of spells

Chaos cultists - great for all kinds of all-around purposes - could either go berserk, become possessed or maybe even summon demons
Demon - heavy hitter, rare monster

I friggn' love that Basilisk idea! Exactly the type of thing I had in mind for a beast creature to go with the Kobolds :D What if for the gang-up power it was if the kobolds are lead by a Fimir they can attack as a group, A =party number+1? Just thinking out loud :2cents:

For the cultists, what if say any 3 together in a room could roll to sacrifice themselves and summon a daemon?.

Chaos Settings: 6 Chaos Dwarves, 4 Chaos Marauders, 4 Chaos Warriors, 1 Chaos Sorcerer

Chaos Dwarf: A2/D3/B2/M4/Mv5 [Their attack is not that good, but their defense is good because they are wearing armor. Their skin is tough as all dwarves, this is why I give them 2 Body points, and their mind is 4 because of their knowledge of magic and craftsmanship. Movement of 5 for their short legs]

Chaos Marauder: A3/D3/B3/M2/Mv7 [Their attack is one step lower than the chaos warriors. Their defense is 3 for their light armors. Their Body is the same as the chaos warriors because they are barbarians, they should have high body. Their mind is only 2 because they are not good against magic. They movement is like chaos warriors.]

Alternative minis for Chaos Dwarves: Dwarves or just Goblins for those who have only the basic system

Alternative minis for Chaos Marauders: Any warrior miniature, or Orcs for those who have the basic system.

I only have a quick idea for an ability for a monster (preferably the chaos beastman).
He can attack with one extra dice, IF he chooses not to move in the same turn. (representing the better accuracy he can have if he takes his time to attack properly - lifting his big weapon and such). I guess it should be 3 attack dice going to 4 with this ability.
This ability will make the heroes think twice about attacking first, cause then the monster will be already adjacent to them, and they will get hit harder.

Also, please do not take this the wrong way G-K, but WTF is a basilisk? (it's very close to the greek word for basil).
When I first read it, this came to mind: http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9 ... HichHYZMkg
We shouldn't have monsters that people have to google them to find out what they are.
I don't know, perhaps I'm wrong about this, I may be the only one in the world that isn't very familiar with the name, but I encourage other users to come forth and be honest and admit that they googled basilisk when they first read it.
I know most of the warhammer monsters, I've played the warcraft 3 pc game, a couple of smalltime fantasy games but never heard of a basilisk.
My thoughts are that I represent the common person who knows the basic about fantasy stuff, not too much, not too little..

Haven't you seen Harry Potter? It's a giant snake that kills with its gaze and it's also venomous, so its venom kills as well :?

Basilisk is a mythological creature. It's a snake with 8 legs and a crest on it's head like that of a rooster. It's called the king of snakes. It has petrifying gaze. It's conceived by a hen nesting on a snake egg.

That's the basic gist.

Frankly I thought it was pretty common
But well, it doesn't really have to be. We could even create an original monster. People are able to comprehend something unfamiliar.

I like this idea. Something like if a cultist can manage to roll a black shield a demon is summoned.
I also like tasoe's "heavy attack" idea very much. :D

I'll also take this opportunity to encourage everyone to consider which role any given monster has in the game.
Does it just do it's own thing?
Does it cooperate somehow with another monster?
Does it simply replace an old monster? The troll in WD is super lame because it's basically just a mummy :(

In short, how is Morcar supposed to use them?.

Agreed. :2cents:

That minatour rage attack is a badass idea, but would it do it every time it sees a hero? Or just the first time? If it rage attacks every time it'd almost be like a mini-boss fight (which I'm not opposed to ;)). Later in the expansion probably not as big a deal if the Hero's are buffed, but early on I could see that decimating a group.

I'm thinking Minotaur in a hallway corner. Run or put a hero with balls up to him.

I'll just post my monsters for now, add stats later...

Chaos Dwarves - common warriors, like orcs, melee
Chaos Beastmen - stronger warriors, like fimir, with several weapons (archers and melee types)
Chaos Minotaur - gargoyle like monster, melee
Chaos Warriors exist
Chaos Warlock exists (with some chaos spells of course)

Kobolds - like goblins, perhaps archers and spearmen
Lizardmen - the orc variants
Fimir - exist
Fimir Meargh - spellcaster with fimir spell deck, more BP and INT, perhaps a summon undead spell that raises bodies from the bogs.
Basilisk is a nice idea, I'll back it :)

I'm thinking that perhaps we should allow each quest to have a maximum of ONE unique monster, if it fits the theme, that's not necessarily aligned with either chaos or dragonkin. A mimic for example as an alternative trapped chest, or a Beholder as a boss, just in case someone has this great idea but can't use it because of the two restricting factions. But only ONE! and only if it fits the quest!
