There were several HQ PC games. Each would have different music depending on the sound chips they used.

After some digging around on google found out that Amiga had HeroQuest 2: The Legacy of Sorasil, which was on both diskettes and cd. So maybe this is from the cd version?? Hopefully somebody with a copy of the cd32 game can answer this.
I can answer my own question. I just heard the music from HeroQuest 2 the cd32 version and it's not the same.

midi was fine and all for the 90's, but thankfully it's over, and we can have "real" music now...tell me that original list is not midi....

Yeah, most midi from the 90's was really bad; but actually midi is still used today and it's really awesome.
