Good name for a Quick Map and Ink

Postby mitchiemasha » February 28th, 2018, 6:12 pm

Almost done the Armoury, Alchemist & Inn of v9 of my mods but i need a good name for some sort of 'quick map'. Possibly warn on the forearm as it's always equipped. It's a cheap addition to the armoury and its purpose is to bring about upsprung, found traps being placed on the board facedown. Doing this symbolises the adventures make a note of dodgy looking spaces in the game instead of them making a note outside the game.

Here's where it's at

Thanks in advance.

My suggestion would be "Exploration Kit" or "Explorer's Kit" or something of that nature.

And I must say, those charts look truly wonderful. If I can point out one thing...under your
"The Inn" table...none of those hirelings have body or mind points. I know they are given
elsewhere, but it looks like you've included everything else in the charts. Are the hirelings
on cards that show their body and mind points?

I'm struggling with that thanks to M: Mind / M: Magic / M: Move possibilities. I'm trying to come up with a new system. S: Speed but S: Spells. I thought about F: Footing. Body is always 1 so i'll add that i'm not sure if the healer, mage should have an extra Mind!

I'm loving the term 'hirelings'.

The extras such as the Thief and Witch, trigger a negative, whilst you've stayed in town at the inn. The gambler is for the Card game and the Bounty Hunter is any of the 'hirelings' above in the list but it will state how much gold for which ever monster class he hunts, such as collecting Orcs teeth! or Chaos Warriors Orbs.

Could make it simple like the "Tool Kit" and just call it "Map Kit".

Would Count Mohawks icons for the HQModern font be a solution for you?

Have you never seen my cards? Or Slev's? Anderas' stuff? SHAME! SHAME!
But I know you've found what I'm talking about, now type something in HQModern and then go discover Special Characters in your Word/OpenOffice Writer.
I hope that's what it's called in English. "Sonderzeichen".

Yes, I have a huge HeroQuest folder. Your Heroes and Villains is in there (v15/09/16 if you've updated it). The Evil Wizard Deck. Prime. Sjengs, Flints, Gimmeyergold card sets, many unnamed. Sotiris Hero Cards, what i base mine off. I spent months downloading it all, reading through, organising the folder system so i wouldn't get lost in it. The archive is almost 9GB.

I have a folder of the official fonts too but this 'character map' font thing is new to me.

I've just remembered why my achieve doesn't have Slev's stuff, there was no master Zip file to download but yes... HeroQuest Revised. Which also reminds me about the google drive link to Stratos. Plenty of late nights reading.
