Lengrati's Room / Minerals

Postby lestodante » October 8th, 2017, 7:47 am

Two tiles I did some months ago.
The room was intended to be used in the mini campaign "Ataque ao Mago Dorminhoco" published on Dragão Brasil n. 8.
I had fun by translating it for the Italian Heroquest forum, so I decided to create a tile for the room of Lengrati (the villain).
an English translation is coming soon, I opened a topic here: viewtopic.php?f=149&t=4111 where anyone can contribute with his corrections.
The minerals tile is instead for another mini campaign, "A Cidade Escrava" published on Dragão Brasil n. 4.

That is some awesome looking tiles that you have made, I will definitely be able to put them to good use.

What program did you use to make them?

Thanks |_P

I used Paint Shop Pro 6, it is very old (1999-2000) but I feel very comfortable to use it and I think its interface is a lot faster than Photoshop for some actions, though Photoshop is for sure more powerful.
But for fast ediding I always use PSP6.

I have not used that program yet, the one I use is Gimp (basically free photo shop).

I'm loving that rug tile. Great job on that.

Could the grid show a little better on the rug somehow?

I did it intentionally with no grid. I hate grids.
The only 2 squares that are not visible are in the center, one is over the eyes and one over the beard.
All the other parts of the carpet have a partially visible tile as a reference. It is just 3x5, so I think a grid is not required.
But if I will have some extra time (I doubt) I will try to rework it a bit and increase the shadow lines as a grid.
Anyway, feel free to apply any black grid on the tile if you prefer (like the ones used on the Ogre Horde tiles).
