Girl Gammer

Postby cynthialee » September 27th, 2011, 11:06 am

New to the group.

I had no idea I was not the only fan of HQ left.

I am very impressed with the usser made cards and characters posted on this site.

How would I go about getting some of them printed onto proper cards?

Anyways...

hugz,

Welcome to the community!

You're most certainly not alone. There's plenty of use here and on other HeroQuest forums, and that doesn't even include the lurkers.

That depends entirely on the cards you are referring to. Some of the card "sets" are in a ready to print format. Just set your printer software to double-sided print format and it should guide you through the process unique to your style of printer. Any other cards and I'll need to know which ones before being able to give the best answer.

Unless, you're talking about something a little different altogether. Such as was type of card stock to use. Either way, a little more info and we'll try to provide the best answer.

If the double-sided printing for some reason does not work, you could simply print them on seperate sheets of paper, cut them out, and glue the backs together, and laminate them if needed. Some cards are already made as "cut-and fold" printouts (front and back next to eachother on one side of paper).

The tile-maps can be printed and glued to thin cardboard. Make sure to print 100%, so the scale is right.

I took the files here down to the print shop and had some cards and books printed. They look fantastic.

MAKE SURE the squares on what you're printing are the right size; if it's map tiles.

Yes. If you're taking any of the PDF files from the resource pages (game system, and expansions) they will print as-is (for double-sided, the printshop may need to adjust the alignment as not all printers are the same, but that's something you can't do on a home printer).

On the card pages, any PDF file created by me (drathe) such as the equipment cards, system/expansion potions, expansion treasure and the mind's eye/prince of thieves cards should also print like the resource PDFs.

Should you be looking at printing out any of the fan-made tiles (not the ones on the resource pages), el_flesh brings up a good tip. Make sure they are the proper size before printing. Each square should be approx. 22.5 mm. the rest is math. We have been planning on converting them all to print-friendly PDF format. So many plans...
