Necromancer

Postby el_flesh » April 26th, 2010, 4:07 pm

I have seen several websites giving variations on a Necromancer.

Almost all of them have some form of sacrificing body points for various effects, but one thing in common is to raise undead.

Using your imagination, you can come up with several other Necromantic skills, some that damage, some that steal life.
The inherent skill I use is 'eating death'; where any enemy dying in an adjacent square gives one body point back to the Necromancer.
He really needs it, with sacrificing body points left right and center for almost all of his spells.

I also liked very much the idea I read on a website where with enough players you can get TWO groups in the maze - perhaps 2 or 3 to a team that compete against each other as well as Zarquon.
One being heroes, the other being more Darkish in nature, but refusing to throw in with Zarquon...

Hey I didn't invent them! Even if I did, I would only not want biff getting hold of it because I say he's an a-hole. But anyone else would be fine!

You can have anything as a hero. Even an Orc if you really wanted to.

Zebs of Doooom is a half-Ogre!

'Raising the Dead' isn't evil in itself. It's what you command the dead to then DO that is good, evil or downright depraved.
It's the religious nitwit Paladins that claim raising the dead is evil. Yet they can turn around and pray to their god all day, then slaughter an entire village in the name of holy crusade and call it 'good'.

i HAVE ALREADY WORK ON THE DRUID
I will post a necromancer card inspired on this topic.
I think that the necromancer should be like this :
ATTACK : 1 dice
DEFEND : 2 dice
BODY : 5
MIND : 6

SPELLS :
Raise undead : Sacrifice one body point to create a skeleton from one already dead monster
Drain of life : Your next attack will drain all damage caused to the ennemy to your total of body points. Drain of life costs one mind point.
Spectral attack : Sacrifice one mind point to inflict one body point damage to a monster. No defend can be attempt.
Spirit control of the dead : Sacrifice one body point to take the control of one undead monster (mummie, skeleton, zombie) that is already on the boardgame. This spell has no effect on special monsters (undead boss)

Tell me what do you think about it ?

Pretty good for a standard necro. I'D play him in a play-by-post!
