My mistake. So we're all in agreement than Descent 2 is lacking and IA is an improvement then?

The one thing that is preventing me from getting this game is the ridiculous expansion packs. It just puts a bad taste in my mouth to have each character be its own expansion. Obviously a money grab. Holding out hope for a "big box" one of these days (and since the expansions haven't even been released yet, I'll keep hoping)

i dont even think they are really expansions. The models just replace the tokens in the game.

As I understand it, they're like the Descent 2 ones, in which case:

The game comes with cardboard tokens, you don't need the character model.
However, the expansions not only come with the figure, but extra cards and tokens to allow expanded use of that figure.

Definitely agree with not needing models to represent rebel scum, but I would try to get every Empire model.
