Ok I know that if i make them at home is cheaper, I could have at home a lot of boardgame made by me, but if i prefer a professional product i buy it...
If anyone here has bought this giant board, can tell me if is convenient?

I don't have a personal objection to making a profit from a derived work like that board. Hasbro doesn't seem to mind, but the maker is treading a legal line. :bites-lip: It's more that I fully support the sharing within an online community like the Inn. Free downloading (thankfully tolerated by Hasbro) of Hero-Quest related material is the obvious choice for those who want to engage in the hobby and save money.

I have a confession to make......I bought one of those vinyl boards from the first post. I figured it was worth a shot. I was very surprised, really. It's a pretty heavy vinyl, the squares are larger than a regular hq board - which is quite nice - makes for more room to lay things out. Really...shocked to say this...but pretty impressed by it. Now, if only I could figure out how to make a custom template for heroscribe, I'd be set.

Exactly. I wear out my photoshop and illustrator for a few days building some tiles or a whole new HQ board and then hit the local print shop. Not everyone has the skills to do this and have to buy home made HQ stuff. But I am like you Sjeng, if I make it at home I try to post it here or on Deviantart.com for everyone to have.
