  • Quest 10 note B potion of Will - is this the potion of resolve mentioned on page 2
potion of velocity - should this be potion of speed? I don't know what this is called in the NA version or if it even exists.
  • Quest 11 note a - no squares are marked with an X on the map, they have been replaced by Hero icons. If the Hero icons stay I think a note should be added to make clear where the Heroes begin this quest.
  • Quest 11 note e - potion of velocity again.
  • Quest 12 note a - potion of will again.
  • Quest 12 note c - potion of velocity.

I asked ghan about the potion of velocity. His reply:
la potion de vitesse permet de lancé un dé supplémentaire pour bouger
Google Translate:
the speed potion allows launched an additional die to move
So I worked up this:

       Potion of Velocity

    Drinking this silvery mixture grants
you exceptional speed. On the turn
you drink it, you may roll an
additional red die when you move.
This card may only be used once.
Do not return this card to the deck.

That should probably be changed to "Potion of Acceleration." In keeping with the style convention introduced by the Strength Potion, drinking this potion would cause you to gain plus 50% velocity (a third die). Assuming you don't get torn asunder, like how that would probably go down, you should still gain far more benefits that just running faster. "Acceleration" or "momentum" would make more sense. Or skip the science and call it something mystical-sounding like "Longstriding Potion."

The 2 new doors in this

away where the bottom

right.

That's the kind of stuff I be needing.

I'm in agreement with chaoticprime on this one.

I've always hated the sound of "velocity".

Is there a reason it's not simply named Potion of Speed? Seems the most obvious to me?

Dude, there's a Potion of Speed in the game system. Duh!

I don't think the Potion of Speed from the EU game system appears in the NA game system (feel free to correct me on this). There is a potion of speed in the Mage of the Mirror but it does something completely different to the EU potion of speed. Ghan's original french version gives out a Potion de Vitesse. a potion with this name appears in the French treasure deck and is identical to the EU potion of speed. Just to complicate things further Ghan gave Daedalus a slightly different explanation for the effects of this potion so...

I think Daedalus has used a different name due to these incompatibilities between the two versions but it is probably best if he confirms this himself.

I was using Google Translate (vitesse=velocity). I didn't want speed because it was already used for potions of different effect. I have no problem with a new name, if it remains true to ghan's intent. Some suggestions, in order of my preference:

  1. Potion of Swiftness
  2. Potion of Haste
  3. Potion of Fleetness
  4. Potion of Pace
  5. Potion of Hustle

That's sick, man.

Potion of Swiftness is cooler. I checked out a thesaurus page for some quick options, and it jumped right out. Hustle was a weaker entry I included so I didn't have to think too much about the choice myself. Hustle smacks of D&D. And disco.
