The Secret Skeleton

"King Trant, whose death was soon to come, cried out this decree: have mine greatest knights put to the sword. In death, like life, they shall serve their great king. King Trant's knights do plague us to this very day. They slay any who venture near King Trant's storied tomb."

NOTES:

All skeletons in this quest have shields equipped and roll one additional combat die in defense.

A. An intense blaze burns in the fireplace. Any Hero who moves into the square will be attacked by one combat die of damage as they get burned.
B. The first Hero to search for treasure will find a Potion of Icy Rage secreted within the Cupboard.
C. The first Hero to search for treasure will find that the Tomb is stuffed full of the corpses of adventurers slain in recent times. No valuables remain among the offal. A Hero that searches for further treasure will suffer the wrath of justice and will be forever prevented from using the Spirit Blade.
D. The Chaos Warlock represents a Necromancer. He knows all Necromancer spells and has the following attributes:
NECROMANCER
Move 7, Attack 4, Defend 4, Body 3, Mind 5.
E. The figures in this room are Mercenaries that came to loot the tomb but were trapped by skeletons. If the Heroes do not attack them, they will agree to either assist the Heroes further into the Tomb for 1/4 of the treasure, or they will fight through skeletons until they reach the stairwell.
F. Here is the tomb of King Trant. The first Hero to search for treasure will find two locked chests. Neither chest can be opened unless every single skeleton in the dungeon has been destroyed by the Heroes. Each chest contains 600 gold coins.

I might suggest that that attack cannot be defended against, however, unless the hero has some
sort of magic in place to help protect against it.

Please can I ask how the pit trap outside location F is dealt with? I've not played in years but I assume the heroes cannot search for this until they've fallen in it?

I thought the style convention begun in WoM states that "can defend against normally" in such instances is the exception?

Veteran heroes. I average power growth versus the point where each Hero has killed 16 monsters (when the Wizard gets here, the Barbarian will already have 32 kills or more). Novice to Veteran is 16 kills. Veteran to Hero, Hero to Champion, Champion to Legend. That's how the wall-chart rating my players progress reads, anyhow.

Basically.

Evil I like the way the similar area on the other side of the board doesn't have this trap. If the heroes encounter the trap and fall in, I can see them squabbling about who's going to step first into the 2nd area.
