I am still waiting for my “bones” to come after exactly 1 year, and I won’t do it again (to pay something now and wait for so many months) even if it’s worth it. Except if we are talking for something extremely special...

I got my "bones" a few weeks ago, also after waiting for months. Have to say I'm disappointed. The material is soft and floppy like rubber. Doubt any paint will stay on it.

You didn't know what material they were???

Alright, there have been many reviews on Bones, I'll sum it up:

- Bones are cast in PVC, which is bendy, but has high detail (if the mold is good).
- Bent/misshapen Bones can be easily bent back into its original position by holding them in boiling water for 15 seconds with a spoon or something, they will automatically reshape to their original position. You can bend them a bit more when hot. Then dunk them in ice cold water for a minute, let them cool off.
- Bones take acrylic paint very well, you don't even need to prime them.
- After painting, you can safely bend them, the paint will hold.

Just google on them, there are plenty of people who have painted them, and are 100% satisfied with results. I also have a few Bones which I ordered before to test them, and I must say I like them.
I'm surely in for part II.

You didn't know what material they were???

I thougt it is some recycled plastic, but I didn't know it is wobbly like that.

I have started painting mine, although i got distracted when billdask's recast's showed up. I think my biggest complaint on the bones is some of the detail on the faces. But other than that paint sticks well without primer. All in all a good investment. I do need to find some bases though. I think i want to go with the D&D adventure games round style bases, but haven't had a lot of luck finding what I am looking for. I will be looking forward to the upcoming kick starter.

You could try large metal washers for bases. Read this tutorial.
