It was at least ten years ago when I had last played HeroQuest. I was still in High School and life was a heck of a lot simpler. Hanging out at a friends house we played several time sand always had a great time. Well as things go time passed and HeroQuest faded into distant memory. I graduated, got married, got a job, bought a house, etc. Last week my buddy messages me and suggested a bi-weekly gathering at my place for the explicit purpose of delving into the deep dark dungeons in HeroQuest. Last night was the first of those meetings. WHAT A BLAST.
The game is just as much fun as it was way back when. With many drinks and laughs we talked about the old days (and the madness we had with the spell "Pass Thru Rock.) Two of the three of us died on our first mission... it was a glorious death though. Once we finished the second mission we had to call it quits for the night but we decided that bi-weekly wouldn't cut it and decided to make this a weekly affair. So re-enamored was I that I went out today and scoured Ebay to find my own copy of HeroQuest (I've never owned it myself! Always played my friend's)
Anyways I found one that was 175 Buy it now OBO. So I offered $50. He countered $125. I countered $75 and they took it. $100 off the asking price! It's in great shape so I'm a happy camper. I know there are cheaper ones if you hunt long enough but I had to have my own copy.
