As soon as a Hero moves through any door, he must stop immediately and roll two red dice. He will then be teleported to the square with the same number as the dice total. If that square is already occupied, he will land on the Hero or monster in the square. The landed-on Hero or monster will lose 1 Body point, and, if still alive, must roll two red dice to see where he/it is teleported. If the same square number is rolled, roll again. The first teleported Hero remains on the square. Heroes may only pass through one door per turn!
Ok, so after rereading that I think I've answered my question, but I'll ask it anyway. Do you all roll the red dice to get to the doors in each room and then roll again to determine where you're teleported, or do you just roll once and that one roll (of two red dice) gets you to the room's door and determines where you are teleported? According to the rules, it sounds like each character has to roll twice, but that seems like a heck of a lot of rolling. I'd like to do it where only one roll is necessary, even though I don't have a really good reason, except that Dave tends to roll on the board and knock all the carefully placed furniture, doors, monsters and tiles out of place.
Well, this one is a better question.
I need clarification on the last line. Does it mean the ring is used only once per quest and you still get to keep the card, or once and only once and then you lose it? Again, now that I've reread it, it seems more likely that it's once per quest but you still get to keep the artifact. I think I got confused because I've been reading more about the expansion packs and the artifacts in those quests like the Spell Scrolls and Magical Daggers that are lost after use, so I thought it was the same with other artifacts from the main quest, but probably not. I'm probably making this more complicated than it is.When invoked, this magical ring will return all Heroes that the ring wearer can "see" to the starting point of the Quest. It can only be used once.
