Mission Dreadnought Blips & Reinforcements

I just joined and this is my first post. I played Space Crusade a long time ago, and have recently bought an old copy again to play with (whomever) my nephews. I have a question about the expansion. I know that the original dreadnought becomes a Mk VII dreadnought as per the Mission Dreadnought rulebook, but what happens with the original dreadnought's blip and reinforcement token when the dreadnought expansion tokens are added to the pool? Is there technically now 2x VII dreadnought blip and reinforcement tokens?

This issue doesn't come up in Mission Dreadnought itself as the VII is excluded as both a blip and reinforcement in all 3 missions (deliberately?). However it does arise in the Renegade campaign from White Dwarf 145. In missions 1, 2 and 3 the alien player has the Mk VII & Mk IX, Mk VII & Mk X and Mk VII & Mk VIII respectively -- which is not such a big deal as you can only play two at once given model restrictions, but in mission 4 you get access to the Mk VII & Mk X triple dreadnought blip wombocombo, with 2 more VII as reinforcements! Is this deliberate? Mission 5 is perhaps even more difficult with the dreadnought blip wombocombo on the table again but this time you get Hermiatus and 4 Genestealers. I believe this to be the case even if you take a terminator squad from White Dwarf 134. I am not sure but these missions could be as difficult as the dreadnought factory, given you don't get to pincer them in.
