They could use the bigger MOTM/FH/ROTDM style box and combine it with Wizards of Morcar which follows it directly story-wise. That would add another 24 mercenary figures (unless they go back to the bolt on weapons mechanic then they can get away with 12 and 24 weapons), some more tiles, magical walls, four evil Sorcerers, and a bunch of new cards (including finally new alternate spells that the Wizard can use, though many complained they weren't strong enough). WOM only adds 5 new quests. Basically a quest against each bad guy Wizard and then a showdown against all four at once (which I hear is pretty tough and especially would be converted to NA rules).

I would be cool with them using "alternate rules" this time, for those who are most nostalgic about the EU mechanics, but in general I think it would be a welcome addition. As another person mentioned, for those players who (like with KK) insist you shouldn't be able to do a full between quests rest/shopping break this would be another opportunity to use the Hideout mechanic from ROTDM. Though you could still argue how "realistic" is it really to have shops underground, but to me it's like it's a game, who cares you can break the laws of realism now and then to make it more fun. Maybe there are some sympathetic moles in the Ogre organization that help you out? |_P

Yeah one of the things in RotDM that I'm kind of torn about is the hideout. Yes it's more realistic and I think it's a fun mechanic. On the other hand, the fact that you can freely visit the shop between quests helps keep the overall feel of HQ light and fun. And buying equipment or potions after a tough quest can keep players positive and looking forward to the next quest. Either mechanic has its strong points.

The magical shop magically takes your gold and magically provides you what you paid for (Wizards gotta eat too you know, and they have other things to do besides cater to your every whim!). Simple as that.

If the monk ends up being a Kung Fu master type, I hope they make him have a double attack. Or how about the ability to convert mind points into body points in order to self heal? And give him something like 10 move, 3 attack, 3 defense, 5 body and 5 mind? Oh and he can't use armor or battle axe.

So you're thinking more "Friar Tuck" than "Caine", with D&D "magical fantasy cleric" vibes more than martial arts kung fu magic type fantasy character.

What if they gave us both types? Like a hero pack that had an "eastern" fantasy monk and a "western" fantasy monk? Maybe that would be too much to ask. We don't know much about this pack yet... would he have his own Quest book? (the title kind of implies that, as opposed to just some characters you can throw in to whatever you want).

Or what if it is something completely different... what if you are simply going on a quest to find some Monk, maybe like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade or something? Finding his lost diary, looking for the holy relic he sought? Maybe you start with one of the classic characters and he becomes a monk, taking on the role of a different type of hero? Maybe that's too advanced for this game, but just throwing out ideas for what it might be. Just straight up giving us a fantasy cleric (we got such a character in HeroQuest II: Legacy of Sorasil, the amiga game released in 1994 that few fans got to play I'm sure and had no physical board game equivalent). That alone would be cool to see that come to life.

Sounds like "Must See RPG" to me!

The price point on the original (now removed) Isle of Games posting makes me think it would be a smaller pack like the Rogue Hero Collection, but then again we don't know. Perhaps the "story" is just on the lore card included with the figures and some cards like before. We can speculate about how many "big" expansions and how many small ones per year but it's hard to tell. As Amalgamash pointed out, the paper portion determines how many quests and is the real factor in how long it takes but the production costs will be tied to the minis and cardboard included that they have to make from scratch (I suppose ATOH could recycle one of the ogre designs from MOTM remake, and just cast it in red this time to match the 1990 version, then sculpt three more just with different heads/weapons in dark blue... hoping for dark blue this time and not boring gray).

Glad you liked it! Sometimes I can't help myself lol!

Does anyone think they will increase the number of Ogres in AotOH remake? Or maybe add some monster types? I was thinking that they should borrow some monster types from the unreleased Dwarf pack like the giant spiders. They could always include them again in the Dwarf pack when they release it.

I'm just spit balling here. My thought was always that Ogres should have control over some nasty beasts due their size and strength. Giant spiders, Boars, Crocs etc...
