My first

This monday I painted my first mini... a zombie. I know it's not exactly a HeroQuest mini...
I've been collecting miniatures for more than 25 years, but never have painted one before (well OK, two or three times I started to paint one, but never got it finished).

It's an unusual choice, indeed, and even I would normally have choosen different -
I try to build up a "Vampire Counts" army for Warhammer. So naturally, I started with a pretty vampire lady - but again, I can't get her finished, I'm never satisfied with the face. Now, a friend offered me some homecast undead. I choose a few I found fitting for my concept and asked him for his price, but he told me before making a decision I should paint some of them, to see if I like the results. So I just took a shortcut and started to paint these first.

Classic beginner's mistake - Start by painting the character/centerpiece instead of practicing on a few soilders first
