What countries have the Remake in retail? (2022)

Most of us have seen it reported that the United States, Canada, Australia, the UK and New Zealand officially have the 2021 Hasbro Remake... Game System, Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord in retail (meaning the non-pledge version). Some of it was out of stock for the holidays but was re-supplied in the new year (even as many are still waiting on re-stocks of the Guardian Knight expansion).

Do we have reports of any other (especially non-English speaking) countries getting the retail version in their native tongues? Judging by the pictures, it appears to have been translated at least into a few languages so far.

I'm very curious if anyone has any reliable information.

As near as I can tell Spain's version of Amazon says it's in English and not available.

Germany July 1st It's a little unclear when each are coming out, but ROTWL is released on this date, so I imagine July 2022 is correct for the GS and KK as well if they they aren't available already.

Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, Greece? JAPAN??

I just looked at Amazon and they don't ship to every country.

Hi, Spain's retail versions of Game System and KK & ROTWL expansions are already available for ordering in several websites, some examples:

So interesting to see on such links that Hasbro has translated to Spanish "quest pack" and "questbook" as "pack de misión" and "libro de misiones" respectively, so now "quest" will be considered as a "mission". In classic Spanish HeroQuest, quests were translated as "retos", not "misiones".

Also interesting (and dissapointing in my humble opinion) to see they have translated "Witch Lord" as "Señor de los Brujos", instead of "Lord Brujo" like in classic box.

I hope such translations are not the definetely ones and are just box prototypes for the preorder advertisements, we will see.

Yeah, just because Amazon doesn't have it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist for sale, it was just the easiest thing to check.

I hope all the countries that got classic heroquest, at least, get the remake. It's only right! (and more the merrier for our community)

Note that some countries might not even have it natively... it could be that some retailers are getting it imported from North America and then shipping it out to their customers...

Some countries that never had the classic edition are getting it, and some that have the classic version don't have the remake... it's true.

Now this COULD help with translating the classic assets into some languages from Remake to classic, although some word substitutions would be in order (Dark Mountains, Darkfire Pass, World's End Mountains, Sea of Talons, Zargon, Kaba Karn, King, Realm, Dread, Abomination, the description of Orcs/Goblins/Abominations changing slightly from the original text referring to these monsters and the Fimir, the text about the Wizard saving his gold being truncated, slight clarification on Borin's Armor & Courage card text, etc).

Those classic versions that were based on the EU edition vs those closer to the NA edition would have little adjustments there too. But still, it could help expand things with a little work!

So word has it that Italy will be getting the Game System this June and the Frozen Horror remake in September.

Germany is getting their retail release soon.

In Spain, both GS and KK are already available in retail, but ROTWL is till in pre-order stage.

The Italian version exists and was presented at the Modena Play 2022 event but still not availabe retail.
Also they announced the Frozen Horror will be the first Italian expansion ro be released even before Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord.

Definitely, I cannot understand Hasbro policies about remake's product distribution...
