Here is my bit of love to the new version.

It is not playable (yet), just to show some assets on a physical "virtual" form.

Hope you like it :)

That looks amazing! Though my nostalgia is telling me the name being on the side of the board is HORRIBLY WRONG... I'm not sure if it really matters though.

That and the Bard, Warlock and Druid are still grossly out of place. I'll play if you remove that lot.

Yes, no offence to the OP who has put some good work in to create this, but seeing the crappy new Heroes set up ready to play like that makes my blood run cold.

I may have figured out what my nostalgia thought was wrong. The Zargon screen "belongs" by the HQ logo. Just rotate the board and things should not be broken in my brain... Maybe.

Yeah, old board had the name on the top/bottom, new one has it on its side, thats what i dont like too, old board was folded right on the center, with the extra space on the side, will have to be folded on another place, but since all that showned its not the final product, just concept arts, maybe we can push a bit so they change that, to keep the original spirit of the game, like they have done with the minis base color. :D

Oldy but goody

Are they just pinching pennies? Less area is taken up with the name on the side so less material cost?
If so I think I'd rather have no name than a name in the wrong spot.
I also understand that I am picking the tiniest of nits, but I just don't get changing things for changes sake.

They just released a Q&A on twitter, and i asked for it. Hope we get an answer.

Dont think its pinching pennies, more likely has to be with the high/width of the box/packaging.

Agree on that, i too prefer to not have a name at all that having it on the side :D

The name put on the bottom made it easier for the Zargon player to layout the board. It's really not uncommon for someone to set up the board wrong if it's laying sidways.
Ever try playing when the board is placed sideways because there's not enough room on the table?
If the Hero Quest is facing Zargon, you don't need to turn the map and there's less chance of getting confused.
