I wish I had all them frozen horror and mage of the mirror minis. It's getting to a point I might even fork out a couple of hundred pounds for them. Wolf looks good, but why a green Frozen Horror?

I'm not really qualified yet to give painting advice but if those are bottles of testors paint, the paint makes your figures shiny since its mostly gloss.

testors is easy to find and cheap and i started with enamel and have never tried acrilyic. a green frozen horror just seemed more scary and majastic than a hue of blue. not to mention the horror is still in the painting studio."not done" :2cents: back to the drawing board iguess thanks alot ethica j/k :)

I'm pretty sure Testor's was originally meant to be colors for model CARS. That's why it has such a gloss. But damn stuff is useless when trying to paint a white Stingray to look candy apple red, especially with a somewhat stiff paint brush.

Oh well. Live and learn. Slowly.

I don't know if it's the paint. I often have a hard time painting stingrays as well. Aside from them stinging me there so floppy wet and you really need a good undercoat to get anything to stick.

I think that the altar is pretty cool with the gloss paint gives it a obsidian effect. other than that you guys think they suck or what?

I tell you, it always exasperates me how many models I have and how little time seems to be available to do anything about it. I have two sons who both play Warhammer and they paint a lot... and I simply look on with envy - usually between bouts of housework, paperwork or some other adult pursuit. Good to see someone making inroads into the task!
