What a great looking Wizard and nice set of doors. I can't wait to see the rest of the minis from this year's exchange!

Tasoe, all your gifts are Zealot products. Awesomely painted, I'll add. I even like the Wizard's eyes because, as the dark rims around the whites are missing and the iriseseses are "too light", it looks like one of the effects casting his spells has on him. Looks awesome in this context and was probably aimed for.

The level of quality is unbelievable. Not that it makes a big difference to me cause this exchange is about different things first and foremost,
but boy, I can't get over the level of quality this year.

Amen to that. |_P |_P |_P

Here is the 'Orc on a pig' mini i got earlier in the week. Any guesses who its from?
I'm very happy i took part in this and will treasure my mini for sure and incorporate him into my quests. What could be more menacing to the heros than an Orc mounted on a squealing boar, hurtling towards them down a dark passage!

I received mine some time ago (thanks to the sender), but I decided to wait for actual chritsmas and open it "under the tree".
As for my own contribution, it has been, well, troubled.
But my "victim" (Anderas' words) will at least receive something. More on this later.
Have a look ;)

Still digging everything you talented maniacs have put forward thus far. It's great to see all the creativity that has gone into these various projects.

For the latest, the "Boar Rider", all of it looks great. And I mean that. But it's funny how one of the most satisfying elements is the presentation of the base. It just fits so perfectly into that classic HQ aesthetic. In a way it reminds me of something I have said about costuming for years, "The most important part of selling the look of a costume, is the shoes". Seriously, an otherwise awesome costume, missing appropriate footwear, just falls flat.

I really feel that the base for the boar rider, sells the piece.

Again, EVERYTHING that has come out of this year's exchange has been really cool. As a voyeur throughout the process, I'm kind of hoping that at least some of you crazy-skilled painters documented the progress on your work. It would be awesome, once the sources are revealed, to see some write ups on how each project was created and what went into them.

majQa'
maj! = Klingon word for "Good". Used in the context of "I approve".

Great orc with boar! At first I thought he might be too big to appear in a dungeon but then I remembered the double-based monsters like Frozen Horror or Giant Wolves from the US expansions. He will be a great boss in my humble opinion. And yes, I really dig the classical HQ base.
Is it me or we have seen the same shield freehand on another orc miniature THIS year? It's either "great minds think alike" or someone sent two minis to two different participants...

The orc on a boar would make a menacing wandering monster screeching down a hallway.

I think it's just a lot of great minds. But it's the monster shield design from the dice after all. It's kind of an obvious idea if you want to give HQ monsters shields :)

Also digging the boar. It's great it's actually on a HQ style base |_P
