So, it's clear to me now that pvp is only allowed in the European rule set and not in the N/A one. My problem is this. I am playing the Morcar part and my party, is divided upon this rule. The two of them are kinda sneaky and always willing to turn to the dark side and the other two are what in DnD would called "awfully good" and all they want is proper teamplay to finish the missions. An average mission ends up with only one of the Heroes alive, since most of the time they kill one another for gold and armor, or they argue about something and split up the party ending up killed by the evil hordes. As you can see, my problem is big as they never progress through the missions, they always start over and the game goes nowhere. I told them that we should follow the N/A rules excluding the pvp rule, but as you can imagine half the party argued strongly and denied the change, so I HAVE to think of something. What I came up with a friend is the evil point system and this is where I want your help (aside from the first part where any other advice would be truly helpful)
So, its fairly simple. When a player attacks another player, he receives an Evil Point. When he reaches four, he is seized by the evil forces and for one round, Morcar can control his character. Not only that, but since he's now evil, as Morcar speaks through his minions and controls them, for the next two attacks by monsters he is not able to defend at all, as Morcar controls his mind and lets him get hurt. That's it. My purpose for this is that if a player keeps on harassing the others or kills them (when a player kills another player he immediately receives 4 Evil Points), a) Morcar gets him under his control and most probably wipes out the rest of the party (imagine controlling the wizard and casting Jini on another player) and b) he is get screwed as he gets free 2 monster attacks and most likely gets killed.
So, what I'm saying is that if he screws the party for 4 times (or 1 kill) he screws up the whole game, BUT (since its a bit absolute and they are gonna react heavily about not being able to do anything anymore) the sum of 4 points let them play with fire and have some fun.
What do you guys think of that?
