The new heroes, the stretch goal structure. I am still considering it, but it is still $300 for a game I already not only own, but I have made cards for that I like more than the ones they are offering...
I understand. I like your cards too

. However, I encourage all fans to participate if for nothing else to bolster the movement. My hope is that with enough attention this becomes a game system in the like of WarHammer and DnD; becoming stronger than it was in 89-91. A genre with official expansions (lots) and figures (lots), etc. HeroQuest is excellent whether for simplicity (for younger, or new to the genre or time sensitive players) or for the ability to create complexity (advanced and fan boys). It works either way. The way I see it, if we don't push this thing into greatness, then it may die out only for nostalgia and then what are we left with? I personally like it better than WH AoS and DnD for the reasons I stated above. I'm tired of walking into a game store and they don't even know what I am talking about when I say HeroQuest unless it is an old player and they say..."oh, yeah. I remember that." Geez, makes me feel old and out of place. I'm tired of having to find things outside of HeroQuest to improve upon HeroQuest when it deserves so much more.
This thing should be popular and strong. So, I am calling for everyone who is a fan to help push this thing into the lime light. We can improve upon it later once it opens up to the market. In fact, my friend (Lemmeron), I would encourage that you send Hasbro your gameplay method regarding your cards and those "German dice", so to speak, to help them with improving upon it. Could be something if real fans had a say. Plus, they never even thought of it, apparently. We need to be the solution to making this even better. And the best way is to talk to Hasbro and show support for HeroQuest.
The makers of this new HeroQuest may not be "true fans" so to speak, but they are excited about what they are doing. The fact that they have made some small improvements based on feedback shows they are interested in what we have to say. Example: the miniatures colors and the quest correction when fans pointed it out. Plus, they "improved" upon the druid design; not ideal, but they did improve based on feedback.
Imagine, if they have some game play ideas regarding dice and cards; like yours. It may feel like a long shot, but you never know. Your photoshopping is awesome, but the game play option with the detailed equipment break down and items break down and so forth with the colored dice on tope of it, is shear improvement all the way around. Now imagine if your ideas were official. Give it a go. You could make a huge difference in this. Just go to the Hasbro sight and send them a message. Couldn't hurt. You only have to gain and nothing to lose. (Whether you do or don't, you're awesome nonetheless, Lemmeron, and your contribution to the fans on this site is most welcomed and respected.)
"The best thing about HeroQuest is more HeroQuest." - Said a true fan.
