I'd love to hear more about this if you got the time.

mitchiemasha wrote:If you want to add a test of strength. This could be roll Combat d6 equal to current Body points. If the test was to overpower a monster, the hero would need to roll skulls greater than the monsters Body, Defence or Body + Defence, playtesting would show which is best.
Ah yes!I used that system for a long time & STILL LIKE IT since your strength relies on your BPs.mitchiemasha wrote:in Character Creation you can give your Hero Bonus Actions, -1 Md6 to do in game.
Giant Strength: Exchange Squares
Standfast: +1Cd6, ideal for those sturdy Dwarfs
Slip: Move between 2 diagonally occupied squares, you know MIGITS!!!
Then there's standard Bonus Actions, -1 Md6 to do in game.
Re-Equip: Change equipped weapons/armour.
Give/Receive: Weapon/potion to/from another whilst passing or adjacent. Both may Re-Equip for free.
Climb: Table/chair/ladder. Table is 2 squares, giving a larger area to attack, be attacked, opponent -1Cd6.[/quote
I like these a lot & will keep them, Thank you.Pancho wrote:Way more complicated than what HQ should be in my humble opinion.

I don't know exactly what these stats would be used for (presumably brawl if for when they don't have a weapon?) because I haven't read the other topics you mention but it's not the mechanic itself that's complicated, it's that you're adding new mechanics rather than expanding existing ones which makes the game as a whole more complex. Shouldn't the elf's dexterity be the highest, succeed on a skull?Josh wrote:Hell, I could lower the enemy stats & say a Goblin must roll a BShield to punch & a BShield to dodge, which would mean our Wizard could actually fist fight most Goblins or Skeletons & win on avarage:)
I'm down for lowering the enemy stats if it makes things run smoother.
But don't forget.....one Combat Die is all that is rolled for att or def, That's gotta be the least complicated thing ever.

That's fine, I just need to figure where I fit into this whole thing.
