My HeroQuest Set - (WIP)

Postby BrushStroke » July 2nd, 2015, 10:24 am

Hi all,

I believe a few of you may have seen my work so far on my HQ set already, but as I've just discovered this forum I thought I would post some pics for those who haven't.
I'll also post pics of my new models when I finally get round to finishing them :P

Undead

Skellies
1531

Fimir
1532

Orcs
1533

Whole Can of Whoop-ass (Chaos)
1537

Heroes
1534

Finally, as my sole motivation for painting my set has been my little girl, I painted her a special hero just for her

I hope you like :)

Absolutely beautiful! I love this, cause style meets substance and hits the HQ original figure nail on the head.
Welcome to the forums, BrushStroke. I hope you'll have a nice time. We will, looking at these pictures,
so get your finger out from wherever it currently is.

Goes without saying they are beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
I can't help but feel I've seen them already... Do you have them available on some other site, a blog or something?

Also, are you gonna paint the top of the shelves? I notice you've painted the rats and skulls.

Thanks Knightkrawler... the figures have a cartoony style to them which I really like, so I've tried to keep the colours bright and bold to complement that. I've pretty much kept to the colour schemes of the original artwork... with the exception of the heroes where I just painted what I fancied at the time :P

Thanks Goblin-King, I have posted my pics up to quite a few groups on Facebook... so much so people just refer to me as "HeroQuest guy" :P

Or you may have seen them on warseer.com perhaps?

I am planning on painting the furniture... I only did the rats and skulls for something to do while I was waiting for some other figures to dry :)
I've not really decided how I want to paint the furniture yet though, so that's another reason for the delay

Welcome to the Forums Brushstroke, I missed your entrance previously.

On to the minis, they really look great. I love the rust treatment on the Skelton's Scythes. As to the mini for your daughter, that's a great reason to jump into painting the rest of the minis and also a nice "Hook" to keep her engaged in gaming I am sure, well done.

maj!
maj! = Klingon word for "Good". Used in the context of "I approve".
