too easy for heroes to kill monsters

one body point ?

There is never a good fight, in all the games I've played so far, the 4 heroes have managed to completely obliterate the monsters long before they get a chance to fight back.

How can zargon or morcar or whatever ever have any fun like this ?

Any ideas ? (still playing the simple original quests getting used to the game again :) )

Yeah, I had no idea the European rules only gave the monsters 1 body point. I didn't even know that Zargon started out as Morcar. But after glancing at some of the future quests, some of these monsters get quite strong, I'm not looking forward to fights with ogres and evil wizards. Sounds like you'll just have to be patient and lure the heroes into some tougher battles. mwa ha ha

Goblins, Orcs, Skeletons & Zombies have 1. Fimir and Mummies have 2. Chaos Warriors and Gargoyles have 3. Boss Monsters have various Body Points depending on the quest and are listed in the Quest Notes.

Check out the files HERE for the North American resources such as the Quest Book and Monster Cards. You may also want to nab the Chaos Spells and Artifacts as these are a unique addition to the North American version as well. The Artifacts are an expanded "Quest Treasure" set with plenty of more cool treasures to be found throughout the quests.

Although there has been intense debates about that throughout the years, we in North America are inclined to agree with you.

You will want to check out the North American versions of Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord too. There's more tasty treats included in them as well.

Heh, I'll leave any revolutionizing on that statement to my friends south of the border.

Here's to hoping the fun improves in your games for you now. The Heroes should appreciate the new challenges too.

When we used to play, this was the same problem we had, but we started to introduce multiple body points before I found this site and found that the US version had already solved this. Most of the US rules make for a much more enjoyable game and we have incorporated most of these. Another point I read from somewhere was to add or remove monsters to your quest as you go, depending on how the heroes were getting on.

That's something I do periodically. Especially when playing and/or testing homemade Quests.
