Against the Ogre Horde in the UK

Postby PaulBaldowski » February 29th, 2012, 2:25 pm

While I have been a fan of HeroQuest for a long time and count four sets and four expansions amongst my collection (which I have always sought to expand), chances to play have lessened and I'm forced to admit that keeping a set specifically not to play with it doesn't make sense anymore!

So, I have a copy of Against the Ogre Horde in excellent condition up on eBay. Almost completely still on sprues - both tokens and figures - aside from a single Ogre Warrior. Many pictures included in the auction to ensure you can see exactly what state the set is in.

As per the auction, will post worldwide. By all means, ask questions if you have any.

that is certainly a nice set. Too costly for my taste though. I'll stick to printing tiles and my still to be painted Warhammer Ogre Battallion set. :)

What other expansions do you have? Most of us are always on the lookout for Frozen Horror or Mage of the Mirror sets and will pay through the nose to get one.

Alas, I only have Keller's Keep, Return of the Witch Lord and the Adventure Design Kit - none of those you mentioned, which were the US only sets, yes?

Yes, the Frozen Horror and Mage of the Mirror were North American releases. As Against the Ogre Horde, Wizards of Morcar, Adventure Design Kit and Advanced Quest were only Europe and Australian releases.

That's a sweet looking Ogre Horde you have up for auction. It's becoming rare to see a box in such great shape. They're often crushed or have heavy damage in the corners.

Sounds like some ornithological forum -

'By jove! I think I've seen a Lesser Spotted Uncrushed Kit!"
"A Lesser Spotted Tit? Where sir?"
"Kit Archibolde, Kit. Keep up man!"

Set back up as much watched but not bidded on last time. Always a little odd to see quite so much interest and not so much as a nibble. Genuinely keen to see this go to a good home!

HeroQuest Expansion Against the Ogre Horde in excellent condition, almost completely on sprue and in a box remarkable in its good condition.

I think that's a bit overpriced for an ogre horde, judging by what I've seen others set at buy it nows of about £70. But good luck! The others I saw where probabaly not so mint.

I have priced it on that basis. I have seen many with all components de-sprued or the box missing or beaten up. I haven't seen anything recently that rivals the condition of this set. Thanks for your comment.
