knightkrawler, have you done any editing to the spell system or do you use it as is?

HA! Way ahead of you, cause I saw the same semi-problem. As the Wizard player may choose from 4 varieties: Elementalist, Guildmage, Soulwhisperer, and Tribecaller,
I did some varieties. The versions for the Soulwhisperer and the Tribecaller have the Genie attack with 6 AD, the other two attack with 4 AD.
I tried to balance spells after offensive, defensice, proactive, reactive, and of course thematic features into the four spell decks. Some spells are shared by several decks, some are new or revisited.
A spellcaster gets to choose 12 spells from his deck before each quest, and each spellcaster types allows for some strategic variation. Unfortunately, not playtested yet.

I had a feeling you would have ;)

I just couldn't remember reading it anywhere. I'll go looking for it later as it sounds like you have lots of good options for the wizard to choose from |_P

Chill...

Y'all seem to be forgetting that the wizard can also use the Genie to open a door!

So uhm yeah, there's that...

Damn. Do you mean to say I've been wasting the genie on killing bosses for all these years when I could have been using him to open doors? How could I have been so stupid :?:

I do not think I have had anyone ever use the Genie to open a door.
For it to be worth it perhaps Genie should open all doors visible to the caster?
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I have used the Genie to open multiple doors... but always at the end of the quest when the quest objective has already been found and the Heroes are deciding weather heading back to that one skipped door is worth it or not. Other than that gargoyles, bosses, and the random chaos warrior that just killed a Hero are my preferred targets.

Dude, take your turns in the P-B-Ps :!: At least in other peoples games, it only takes a couple of minutes. It's frustrating waiting for one person in a held up game!

That's why I haven't jumped into any PBP games - I never know when it might take me a couple of days to take my turn :)

By the by - I thought this thread was about the barbarian and the dwarf - when did it get switched to the wizard and the elf?

But he posted here and didn't bother with the P-B-Ps. :x Not cool! I think he just likes making people wait. :)

Join mine if you like. If it's just a couple of days sometimes that's fine, you can always check more if you do have the time. It sometimes takes that long for a round anyway and I might rule that if nobody's taken their turn for 24 hours one of the others can play their turn. MitchieMasha said he'd join if I can't get a fourth player but he hasn't responded to my PM yet.

Sorry for the slight derail, carry on. :)
