Makerbot

Postby drathe » July 5th, 2010, 7:53 pm

I just saw this on the news. (boy, that sounds like the beginning of a spam post, doesn't it? )

Makerbot is a 3D printer you connect to your desktop, feed in 3D models and it will make pretty much anything 10cm x 10cm x 15cm (4"x4"x 6") in ABS plastic. Kind of expensive given it's about $1000, but considering how much it can do, it would be worth it for some people. I believe if I have a Makerbot and some kick @$$ 3D models of miniatures, it could produce them. That would be sweet! I want one.

Yeah, but those posts are actually broken up between this and the old forum. So there's a whole lotta posts about nothing in that count

I want one of these! It would be really useful for a lot of things including making custom miniatures!
