Was it just the US bases that had no bevel? None of mine do nor any US copies that I've seen.

US system, KK and WL did not have the bevel. MM and FH have the bevel.

Pretty impressed at your lower cost on the bases. Without outlaying a large amount of cash I simply couldn't get them close to 20p a pop and break even, mine sit at 90p roughly. ./hats off :D

You could consider making tiles with the marks and chips on the original board, for ultra close matching. But I would recommend flat surface around the feet area, makes for believable additions as all HQ models merge with their bases.

Also, unsure how you could make them slotted, HQ bases are seriously thin and by that alone, the slot tag would have to be snipper shorter.. by that stage you may as well clean the tag and pin the model to a non-slotted base.

Yeah, I should pretty much be allowed to get away with anything short of murder around here, now.

LAFF!! I think you forgot to include the sacrasm tag on that one. <---- Intentionally misspelled.

Now that's what I'm talking about! :D

HQ bases are almost as thick as most slots. With the texture on top it should be just thick enough. My milliput bases are perfect for slots (and slightly thicker than a mint base because of the texture I put on them).

Now 2x1, 2x2 as well! :D

Actually those bases look a little bit off to me.
The top part goes way closer to the edge as far as I can tell.

I like the curved left and right edges of the originals and the smoothness of bevellism.

Me too.
I think it's very important they resemble the originals exactly.
The whole point is to make them blend in seamlessly.

Edit: by the way, what actually exist of official bases? Normal 1x1, 1x2 (aka wolf bases) and Ogre size? That's it? (disregarding Us style 1x1)

Here is a close up for comparison:
