Hi everyone. I just joined. For some unknown reason, HQ totally passed me by as a kid. Now that I have a kid who is getting old enough, I was thinking about what to play with him. I miss the all-night D&D sessions of my youth, but really didn't want anything that...involved. So I scored some HQ on craigslist. My son and I both love it. Our playing had to go on hiatus, however, while I sunk into the unplanned, unexpected hobby of mini-painting as well. Didn't realize how much I'd enjoy that as well!

Anywho... hi everybody!

I seem to be getting the impression that Old Scratch has become a forbidden phrase around here for some reason. Did I miss something? As far as us Innkeepers are concerned, it's totally fine to spell-out and link-to Old Scratch's HeroQuest Forum.

Love your avatar. I'm currently reading the dwarfs omnibus from the black library. Your pic is the cover. My exploration of HQ quickly led to figuring out a bit of game history. It led to WH Quest, Space Marine, Space Hulk, and WH 40k which is all the rage with kids today. I then had to make a point of seeing if there were actual novels based on this seemingly very rich world. Then I found there's like a million. And since I love and always played dwarfs, I found that omnibus. It's brutal. And by brutal I mean awesome.
