News: Gamezone plans a Heroquest reboot

- Spanish company GameZone will create a new heroquest 25th aniversary edition.
- They have distribution rights to Spain but not to other countries, but they will release the game in multiple languages and there are plenty of spanish online shops with worldwide shipment.
- They may use a crowdfunding campaign but it's not confirmed.
- There will be initially four heroes in male and female versions.
- Furniture and tokens will be all in 3D (resin) instead of cardboard.
- The board will be reversible (two in one).
- There won't be fimirs, but there will be equivalent reptilian creatures.
- It won't be overly expensive (in line with Descent V2).

Its a pretty expensive venture. The whole board-game would at least require 50-60 thousand, on the low end. Probably much more, actually. They could have a cheaper method of acquiring the assets needed to make the game. I am still waiting on sculptors to get started with ours.

"The KS project is going to be the 25 aniversary edition, but later,in 2015,are going to launch the standard edition.
The price is going to be around 80€,with eight miniatures and furniture. The material is going to be resin."

Fun.

wait and see if/when this gets any more official posts or a KS. a nice updated version of HQ would be great. a better magic system was all it ever lacked in my mind anyway.
not holding my breath but still cant wait to see what comes out of this.

4 heroes, two of each...that makes 8.

I guess there won't be any other monsters either
