Hello! New User, card printing question

Postby BlackAdder7 » May 17th, 2010, 10:50 am

Hi all,

Hopefully this isn't a repeat question. I've looked through the forum and couldn't find my answer, but if its a repeat, feel free to link me to the original!

I and some friends are pretty new to HQ but we've managed to get up to the 8th quest in the core game already. As we're approaching the final stretch, we have been looking towards the expansions. I found most of what i need on this site which is fantastic, but does anyone have the frequency of the cards?

For example, how many of each artifact gets printed ?

I tried using Wikipedia among other sources but I can't find the actual card counts, only what cards are available. I guess you could argue that it really doesn't matter, but I'd like to at least try to get as close to legit as we can.

Thanks in advance!

The files in the resource sections of Ye Olde Inn have the correct quantity of each card for the Game System and expansions except the Wizards or Morcar Men-at-Arms*. Print once, cut and you're good to go. The only duplicates are in the treasure cards and Men-at-Arms for Wizards of Morcar*.

Hope that helps and welcome to the community! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

*The Men-at-Arms file has two of each, but it is best to print a total of four of each so every Hero player may have a copy should they all hire the same type.

Thanks for the reply.

So just so I have it right, each card set, its only one copy per? I'm looking at the Kellar's cards. Each card is only there once, so I should assume that if I bought the expansion in a store, there would be a total of 10 cards in the packaging?

Thanks again!

Yes. Although the original North American cards (European KK & WL didn't come with any additional cards) are much smaller as they were cut-outs from the back cover of the Quest Book (as you can see from the Quest Book files). The separate card file was remade to the same size cards as in the Game System. You could always print extra sets if you wish. There are multiples of the Magical Throwing Daggers, Dust of Disappearance and Anti-Poison Quills to be found in the Quests. There is also the chance for finding multiples of the Spell Scrolls since most of them are found and chosen at random.
