http://www.manticgames.com
-> Shop
-> Kings of War (that's the name of their fantasy line)
-> Undead (or whatever you want)
-> Army Deals

I thik this is pretty straightforward.
Have a look ;)

I went through what they had to offer and the prices are a little high for me. For some reason I just have a hard time bringing myself to pay more than $1/mini :roll:. I have no logical reason whey either :p . The one that did catch my eye as Sjeng pointed out

I would probably pick up http://www.manticgames.com/Shop-Home/Kings-of-War/Getting-Started/Product/Mhorgoth-Rising-Fantasy-Battleset.html for an option of some more figures. With the 110 undead that I'd get 1st I will be able to do an undead campaign for D&D I've always wanted to do. Just need some mummies :mummy: :mummy: :mummy: .

Once I do break my $1/mini limit I'll plunge and get more than I should. I'm just resisting until then and will save as much as I can.

yup that's a good choice. I only got the previous version of the set because it was heavily discounted in a Dutch online store, because the new on (Rising) was about to come out back then.

Army Deals:
Undead Skeleton Horde (40 Figures) = £24.99 = $37.8 = $0.945 / mini (same for Revenant Horde)
Undead Gravestalker Horde (60 Figures plus Tombstones) = £39.99 = $60.51= $1.0085 / mini + tombstones
Undead Zombie Horde (60 Figures) = £34.99 = $52.95 = 0.944 /mini
Undead Ghoul Horde (50 Figures) = £30.00 = $45.39 = $0.9078 / mini

As long as you stick to rank and file models, you won't "pay more than $1/mini". That's what I like about them. And no, I'm no employee and don't get mone for advertising Mantic :roll: .

the Mhorgoth Rising battle set is 99 minis (both catapult crews have 2 minis) for $74,99 (and probably less at online wargame stores if you look around) = $0,7575 / mini
and they're very good looking. I swear.

IvenBach wrote:I usually try to keep my purchases to under $1/mini. I know that gets tough as the quality goes up but I'm just starting. With a larger miniature quantity purchase I'll get more painting in and hopefully build improve my painting skills. If I'm ever going to get any quality I'll have to buy a lot better paints instead of my wannabe budget stuff.

With that price point in mind - When buying online do you include shipping in that price too?

I wasn't accusing you. I have no problem if people keep showing me different deals for the same or any manufacturer. In my original post I figured it out to be ~ $0.5771818... for each mini. So I'll pick that one up when either I have enough free $ to waste/spend or and when I finish or mostly finish my HQ minis. I can't justify buying more and having them sit in a box while I've the majority of HQ to still paint.

Miksang wrote:When buying online do you include shipping in that price too?

I add in the shipping for a more realistic representation. If I buy other stuff like greenstuff I'll be picking up for the 1st time I divide that among each item.

Everything I've read online has been all positive about Mantic. And looking at other photos people do of their undead minis has always looked good. Unless I'm fooled by a camera trick or something else their quality is really good and the price of me is within my range. Still got my hopes up on a really cheap bid I have on ebay for some extra HQ and misc figures that are included. These I can justify because they are only a dollar and :2cents: right now.

miniatures

Postby torilen » March 26th, 2013, 7:49 pm

Not HQ minis, and certainly on the expensive side - but very nice pieces. Notice on
the left, they have special categories for certain fantasy artists. Kind of neat.

Thought I'd share.

Ya that nude Amazon Liche I got a few years back? Never got painted by my cuz, and NOW it's missing.
As if that weren't bad enough, the guy who had sold it to me told me that was the last one.

So. If anyone knows of some good nude Liche Queens...
