I like how Thrasher79 is using differently colored HQ dice and tacking on a referenceable item to easily manage new probabilities--its a very nice and accessible hybrid idea. It got me thinking . . . so now I wanna kite in some white-combat-dice-only ideas for fun before I forget:

    standard adjacent attacks:
  • :barbarian: : Any :blackshield: attack dice results count as 1 :skull: ; :dwarf: , :elf: : roll normal attack dice; :wizard: : any :blackshield: attack dice results cancel 1 :skull:
  • :barbarian: : Any :blackshield: attack dice results allows 1 extra reroll for attack; :dwarf: , :elf: : roll normal attack dice; :wizard: : any :blackshield: attack dice results forces 1 reroll of a :skull:
  • :barbarian: : Reroll 1 failed combat die for attack; :dwarf: , :elf: : roll normal attack dice; :wizard: : each :blackshield: attack die result counts as :skull: , but reroll one success
  • :barbarian: : Roll normal attack dice, but reduce monster defend dice by 1; :dwarf: , :elf: : roll normal attack dice; :wizard: : roll normal attack dice, but increase monster defend dice by 1

  • attacking without a weapon:
:barbarian: : Roll 1 combat die to attack, monster defends as normal with :blackshield: s ; :dwarf: , :elf: : roll1 combat die to attack, but monster defends with :whiteshield: s ; :wizard: : roll 1 combat die to attack, but monster defends with both :whiteshield: s and :blackshield: s
  • :barbarian: : Roll Hero's starting attack dice, monster defends with :whiteshield: s ; :dwarf: , :elf: : roll Hero's starting attack dice, monster defends with :whiteshield: s ; :wizard: : roll Hero's starting attack dice, monster defends with :whiteshield: s
  • :barbarian: : Roll Hero's starting attack dice, reroll any :skull: s; :dwarf: , :elf: : roll Hero's starting attack dice, reroll any :skull: s; :wizard: : roll Hero's starting attack dice, reroll any :skull: s

Hello Deadalus,
Partially very good ideas, I think. I could only criticize that the wizard is partly disadvantaged. First of all, the wizard is usually already disadvantaged in terms of weapon selection, etc. And he is usually not very popular among the heroes because he is weaker than the other 3 heroes, at least according to the original rules.
If I didn’t play according to my own rules, I would take the following from your suggestions:
Barbarian: Variant 2
Elf and Dwarf: They are all the same :-)
Wizard: Variant 3

Hello,

I have uploaded the new version of my rulebook. I have tried to change and explain the things that were mentioned accordingly and hope that these sections are now more understandable. If anyone notices anything that is strangely worded or simply not described in a way that is easy to understand, I would be very grateful if someone could provide me with a suitable wording!
I thank everyone who has expressed their opinion so far :-). Only in this way can I adapt the rulebook linguistically so that it is understandable for everyone.

Here is the link to the new version:
