Yeah that would be funny. I give the Champion bonus at the 7 quest mark. If Bretal the Elf lives that long I can't way to see his face when he misses out on becoming a wealthy Champion of the Realm.
P.S I'm going to let him keep the gold. It explicitly states in the U.K. quest book that they can do so, but become an outlaw. I'm also going to let the Wizard collect 75 gold as a prize for returning one chest to its owner. Seems fair to me.
That should be interesting. If the Elf wants a do-over at that point, there might be room in there for a quest to hunt down the rogue elf…
