Well research is something I'm generally good at. But there's no positive nationalistic explanation; for all we know, the guy responsible for the translation from English to Italian had an uncle named Manfred who recently died, and he managed to slip in a little namesake momento into the game. I wouldn't be surprised by humanistic explanation...
I have always enjoyed the vast world of knowledge, the joy of learning something new. History was one class in school I never had a problem passing because I found it fascinating. To bad real life archaeology isn't anything like Indiana Jones.
Yeah, but half the stuff you learn in history class is pure indoctrination. The more important details are left out and a true scholar needs to look outside textbook sources for reason.
There's the fabled story of Columbus discovering America; first they tell us in kindergarten that he wanted to prove the Earth wasn't flat (good for you if you want to put faith above fear), but then you find out he was just looking for an Eastern passage to trade with India; but then if you dig deeper you find that Columbus was a member of the Knights of Christ (formerly Templar) and his father-in-law was supplying him with maps that already depicted the existence of America.
Why was Andrew Jackson the first President with an assassination attempt against him? School books fail to tell you about his battle with Nicholas Biddle and the 2nd Bank of America.
What are the prime reasons for World War I? Germany was bypassing all the British financial trade routes with the formation of the Baghdad Railway, rendering Britain's monopoly over the Suez Canal redundant. France and Britain would then form a blockade over African ports that were hotspots for Germany financially.

And don't get me started on Archeaology; Graham Hancock, Robery Bouval, Robert Scotch and John Anthony West opened more doors for real archeology then Zahi Hawass or any other contemporary egyptologist.
