If the skies parted and Hero Quest were to be reprinted, that is one rule I'd like to see covered.

Basically, I see it this way: The table occupies as few squares as possible, but as many as necessary; in other words, as the icon indicates in the quest map. Both these presumptions make it 2x3 squares, although you could maybe squeeze it into 2x2 squares. But let's assume 6. Thus, the table is set centrally into these 6 squares. Now try to put a mini exactly vertically above one of these squares in such a way that the other five are completely unoccupied by your figure. Because these other 5 squares need to be unoccupied , for you assume that a square occupied by a table may be occupied by a figure, making it mandatory that all 6 squares can be used at once by 6 figures.

Then, take a picture for me and post it.

Also, a table and the other pieces of furniture are nomenclatured in the game as furniture and played out as such. If you assume you can use one piece of furniture in that way, cause the rules don't specify it differently, then you must assume, because there is interpretation going on, anyway, that all pieces of furniture may be used in the same way, including treasure chest, fireplace, and weapons rack.

What I'm trying to say is, we all play the rule that a hero may not end his/her move, under any circumstances, on an occupied square.
A square occupied by a table is, well, eh, occupied.

It's controversial because it's using selected parts of the book that are taken out of context. That line of sight diagram relates to casting and missiles and the rules are clear that you cannot search a room while a monster is in there.

At a stretch, it might apply to searching corridors which defeats the purpose as you'll have to search again to search the bit of the corridor that you couldn't see. But people are free to house rule what they please.

Nothing of a kind. :p

But there is. The EU rules state you cannot move through an occupied square. However I couldn't find the same reference in the NA rules.

If the skies parted and Hero Quest were to be reprinted, that is one rule I'd like to see covered.

I rule this as low furnitures can be moved on to, but moving on them takes an extra movement. Moving off does not.

How do you do it in game. I mean with the mini. And if further two (in theory, five) want onto there?

I run my games online in Roll20 and Google Hangouts, so I just move the token onto the furniture square. If I had to do it in an actual game, I don't see how moving it onto a table or throne can be too difficult. Naturally, I don't allow moving onto cupboards and bookshelves, but if the furniture piece seems low enough, it is fair game. :)

If more than one person wanted to go on a table, if there is room, then why not? :) One of my recent "Zargon Goes Online" images had a table party.

My choice of words could have been better. I should say "...but it is controversial and most anybody would rather interpret the rules intuitively." Rather than derailing this thread, the rest of my lengthy response is continued in
the original thread.

You're right. The rules allow searching for traps or secret doors in hallways, even in the presence of monsters if another hero figure blocks line of sight to them.

Nobody else make me give me one speech again.
