Think about it. The NA rules were written in favor of the Evil Wizard player's chances to actually win once in a while.
That rule makes blocking doors for heroes impossible and that plays into my hands.
Moohahaha...

Yup. Goblins' 10-square-movement is essentially a trapping if you do not play this way. Having them run off at top speed is a wonderful method of luring heroes into traps. Using goblins as front-line enemies just does not make any sense. They use their high move to scurry to the back of the heroes where they can put some hurt on the Wizard. This is also the reason I never saw much point in having goblin archers (though I had some, anyway). Its also the reason why the Wizard should have mercenary human shields around him at all times possible. I cannot even remember the last time I was not able to attack with every active monster on my turn because there was no heroes in reach.

It specifies that Heroes cannot move through monsters, and that neither Heroes or monsters can pass through blocked squares.

Someone over at Old Scratch mentioned this:

Page 21 from the US rule book.

Monsters may not:
Search for treasure
Search for secret doors
Move or attack diagonally
Pass over heroes
Move through walls
Open or close doors
Share a square on the gameboard

So that would mean the US rules also allow door blocking.

This is true. Monsters may not walk through squares occupied by Heroes in the American version.

Missed it because I specifically looked up monster movement and this excerpt comes before it.
Hasty me.

Phew... now my sanity may remain intact.

It would make for a good special monster, the ability to move through heroes.

Skaven Gutter Runners.
Assassins from all races.
My hero assassin may move through one occupied space per turn.
All kinds of swarms, obviously.
Minotaur (Rage attack, storming over one hero (who has to roll to see if he loses a BP when overrun), attacking the next).
Snotlings.
Flying monsters (NOT the gargoyle!).
Other ideas?
