plus, the adventurers always need to go to an exit, be it the starting spiral stairs, or a different exit. So your party can choose themselves if they will take the same way back to the stairs, or try a different route, open unopened doors, explore unventured corridors and rooms, or search for the exit while avoiding any more rooms.
It all depends on the players, and if they are willing to risk it.

It's the same with computergames. Do you rush through? Or do you explore every nook and cranny?

For me, I advise a dungeon to be the same like a woman: you should explore every nook and cranny. No fun rushing thru it.

so much for the simple snickering at burps in front of the females.
We just go straight for the sexism. Nice. :^

Sometimes my group has to clear an entire dungeon to fid the ojective, other times they just kinda fall into success like scooby doo.
I have seen a simple dungeon wipe a party and a supposedly hard core dungeon be defeated in a matter of 45 or less minutes. It is all a matter of acidently going the right direction many times.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

It's not sexism. That would be
prejudice or discrimination based on sex

It's more dirty mindedness.

Depending on the adventure being played, Beernut would allow training/restocking afterwards, before the next adventure...
