Custom Random Hero Dice

Would it be useful to anyone else to own an 8 sided dice that had the icons of the 4 heroes on it (2 faces of each hero on the dice) that you could roll to select a hero randomly?

If yes let me know, because if enough of you want them then it might be worth getting some made and we can share the set up costs between us. I'll buy them in and sell them on to you 'at cost'.

Want to check others would be interested so I can give them some idea of how many I would order and give them the designs to find out how much it would cost (I have no idea at this stage).

So by the order you quote there it would be about $7 each +P&P. Not really worth it is it.

Not neccesarely.
Most of the cost would be for the mold, not the individual dice. If you could mount up more than 20 interests, then each die would become increasingly cheaper. I just don't know to which degree, as the quoted example is the only one on their website.
I like your idea as such, but personally wouldn't order a random hero die, as I can't see it's use in the game.

A lame, cheap alternative is to just roll a red d6. 1=1st Hero, 2=2nd Hero, 3=3rd Hero, 4=4th Hero, 5-6=roll again. For negative events, you could optionally assign a 5-6 result to a player that arrives late. For positive events, exclude him by assigning 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 results for the other players.

Or just roll a D4. I was just thinking a special dice for the uber geek shock value.
