Here is the first demo of a program I have made for generating a dungeon for HQ. Using modular boardgame, but you have the choice : Advanced HQ boardgame, Warhammer quest boardgame and Descent Boardgame.

Nobody interested in ? It is really cool... You can enter the elements that you want to have in your dungeon (for example 8 Orcs, 8 goblins, 3 Fimirs, 6 secret doors, 3 pit traps, 3 treasure chests, 2 tables...etc) and the program generate a dungeon... But not a totaly randomly generated dungeon ; it keeps some certain logical topography...

Try it and tell me what do you think about it please !

It's been less than a day. Give everyone a bit of time to check it out. Some people like myself browse the forum on their cell phones and can't look into things like this until they're home on a computer. Others only visit every few days, once a week or less.

I have looked at things on that megaupload site before - do you have to pay to be on that site? Because I can't do that.
Do you just have to register or something...is there another way I can get to this stuff??

no it's free torilen ! Try again ... You have a link on the back of the page that will appear after you wait 30-40 seconds... So be patient... It arrives when you don't pay, if you use megaupload for free, you have to wait a little for your link.

what the freakin' crap - this things in french. I can't read french. SHEESH.

Just kidding, of course. But, no, really. I can't read french, and so can't figure out how to make it work.

Same with me. I have a basic understanding of french grammer and the most frequent words (like personal pronouns), so I technically can read french with a dictionary at hand. But that's veeery slow.

you don't need to speak french guys ! it's very easy to use !
At the begining, you just have to click the button continuer (continue) and the level start.
After, the button on the left "générer salle" (generate room) and "générer couloir" (generate corridor).
Else, all the others things are graphic, so it's universal !

The full version will be translated in english, but the demo stay in french, sorry... Even try to use it please... Don't be afraid, there are quite few words in french...

I, too, do not speak french very well, so the finer points (fimir, orcs, etc.) are tough to see. It seems like a really nifty program, but unless it gets set up for original HeroQuest (and translated to english), it won't be of much use to me.

Dear Phoenix, it is for the original Heroquest !!!! But you must use some modular boardgame and not the original boardgame of heroquest, because it's impossible to generate a dungeon randomly with the classic boardgame in a program. Else, for the english version, you have to be patient ! The release of the french version is for one week ago, so 2 weeks aproximatively for the complete english version...
