Yeah but apparently their $!@# doesn't stink. If it did, you would not dare enter these dungeons. Maybe they cough it up like owl pellets?

And how come the heroes never encounter "the crapping room?" One of those 2x6 rooms will do... Search for treasure in there!!!

Easy.
Mentor's imagination, whose figments heroes, dungeon, and Morcar are, cannot grasp that level of detail.
It's hard enough for him to keep up the belief that Morcar is a seperate person.

Knightkrawler; it should be fairly obvious where the nearest opposite square will be as they are only skewed by 1/4 inch. And with a wall inbetween it may not even be noticable. I think i may leave this section of board while last incase i think of or someone suggests a better way.

Whitebeard; the goblins in my dungeon will be able to crap as much as they want. I'm building some stinky open sewers into the board. :)

Yeah, well, it's not that obvious linguistically. You might have to clear it up for your players if they intuitively have internalized the original meaning of adjacent squares. If two squares that share a border (without clearing up which length is required) are orthogonally adjacent to one another, then both in-room squares are one step from the one in front of the door. But you answered my question anyway. A square is only orthogonally adjacent to another if it shares the majority of a border with it. That's what I wanted to know. I would rule otherwise to make some doors a little more interesting strategically. I use double doors sometimes for that reason.

For the building, I wouldn't do it differently than what you've planned except maybe build that one wall paperthin. However, your solution as of now looks better to me and offers the possibility above.

This project is lokking fantastic! Your painting is way past anything I'll be doing for quite a while.

Could someone tell me about this FLASH your discussing, I haven't a clue what your talking about. Excuse my ignorance.

On the small rooms, I have a plan for mine. I'm going to use small hole chicken wire to seperate the rooms and cover in green moss. That way its very thin and very durable. Looks good too.

The flash is the remains of plastic that doesn't belong there. It sits where the halves of the form for the miniature meet during production. For example right smack dab over the middle of the Chaos Warriors' helmets.

Next up one of easier heroquest creatures to paint, the mummys. The non heroquest mummys i got from Westwind miniatures, known as servent priests after someone recomended them on here. They are a fairly good match, perhaps a bit skinnier.
I use coat d'arms paint on my mini's which is basically the old GW paint rebranded.

Niiice.
Another positive thing that doesn't jump the eye, but once you've noticed you'll know.
The moss in the stonework ties the dungeon to the mini bases even though these are grass. I don't know if that was a conscious decision, but you can very well leave it that way because of the cohesive color and texture. Otherwise the bases could strike the eye negatively because of the different theme.
