What parts of your game do you paint?
When I first encountered HQ in 1989, I realized immediately that the figs/furniture would look alot better painted.
Only I never really got around to painting my cousins' stuff...
So when I got hold of it early last year, you can be sure I got it painted pretty quickly by people much better at it than I!

I am taking the Fifth here. I admit to "touching up" Gaylion The Firmir Mage, but not to those Pinko Skels.

I've only painted the figures, but once I have time to get new paints and set up an area to do more, I'll be painting everything.

I used to paint a lot of minis - plastic, pewter/metal, whatever. Haven't had much time for that in quite
a while - if I ever get a group to play again, I will probably paint more - and will most likely make board
pieces out of clay, too.

now, I have to admit - I love the answer above...devalue the plastics??? That's priceless.

Hi Joec, have you given up real-time Saturday Night Dungeoneering, for your on-line game?

I've only painted one figure. I took far too long to achieve the quality I expected and I didn't quite finish it. I discovered painting isn't my thing. But my sister enjoyed it and painted several goblins, a gargoyle, three and a half heroes, and a few pieces of furniture. One day I'll get some more paints and let her finish a whole set.

I actually find painting figurines relaxing. It is tedious and tough to get the detail...but relaxing just the same.
That's one reason why I wish I had more time for that...or for making things out of clay - that was a lot of fun,
and relaxing as well.

My HeroQuest game is on hiatus, because two of my players are planning a wedding in their hometown, and it's five hours away. Because they have to keep traveling there on the weekends, we're only sparingly playing games. Trust me -- When they're available (mid-September), the Heroes are venturing into Kellar's Keep.
