That Cursed Company dwarf just looks like a hairless dwarf with an oddly oversized skeletal hand. In fact, the cheapest way to get a dwarf like that is just to get a regular dwarf model and give him a skeleton hand from another model.

At some point, I got the impression that the D&D skeletal dwarf would be out of scale/oversized compared to HQ minis, but I've haven't seen one in real life myself. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I can post a comparison photo this evening. But my impression is that they look and feel cheap and flimsy in comparison.

These might also be useful in dwarf skeleton conversions:

All you need now are some cheap dwarfs:

Maybe that guy on the right.

I owned them, and though they do fit in scale (no worries there at all) they look like *lemony goodness*, even more so in my own hands. The flimsiness, the pre-paintedness, the equipment... no, I was not satisfied at all.
But that's yours to assess, of course.

Thanks for the comparison pic, Herman!
KK, I see what you're talking about with the quality of the D&D skeletal dwarf. That might be one of the worst sculpts of a skull that I've ever seen, and his legs look like they're just somehow stuck on his sides, not held in place by hip bones or anything.

Why did I sense his fear when you said that... "no don't pick me, I like my head"...

Whilst the other 3 are thanking god.

The Dwarf Revenant miniatures from Dungeon Saga by Mantic Games are perfect for this too, although you only get two with the base game, or one with the expansion or miniature booster sets. The Undead Troll is quite cool too, as is the ghost.
