I like the picture with the Black Orc, Orc and Goblin. Its really shows the coloring, standing beside each other.
And again WOW or AWESOME, or GREAT WORK ....

I will ask this question and look back at other post to see if you mentioned it before. So...
What brand paints do you use? If the price did not matter would you buy another brand? I have seen some really expensive paint sets. Do you primer each type of miniature a different color, depending on what you are painting? I thought I used black or grey on my orcs, never painted many human characters, but had a white primer for them. I am reading about painting human skin tones and looking at buying (maybe a book) on skin tones. Using highlights and wash takes somewhat of a skill or talent.

But again, just very nice to able to look at your work !! and in my case be able to look towards a reference or guide on what level I want to reach.

Thanks Again !!

Hi. I started (as most of us) with Citadel Colors, but I now only use Vallejo Colors, both from the Game Color and the Model Color series. They last long and cover very well. For metallics I still use Citadel due to its consistency, and for inks I use a mix of Citadel and Vallejo. I would not change to other brands as Vallejo is cheap enough for me and the relationship duration/quality/price is fantastic for me.

I almost always prime in black using a spray. This way I have a solid shadow base and colours look more "real". In some cases, when I need bright colors, I use a white or grey prime, for example, on the skeletons and mummies above, or in this Eldar Farseer

Getting a yellow so bright would be a pain priming in black. You can see a WIP here

For humans I always use black priming: colours look better (for me)

And I finally finished painting all my HQ minis (pending two pieces of furniture) with these two Chaos warriors. Painted in Khornate colours as I wanted to experiment with red armour for another future project.

The technique used, with WIP pics is detailed at
http://keyansark.blogspot.com/2010/10/g ... -caos.html

And the final result is this. What do you think: Yellow or Khaki highlights?

I hate them too... A thing from the 80s. But my prime directive is "never mutilate a classic mini" :)

And an oddity of old times sees the light: An Ogre from "Dark World", that I obtained via the Lead Adventure forum and now is a part of my HQ collection.

More pics, including a size comparison and other (yet unpainted heroes) can be seen at.
