Here's new pictures of something old,
mainly for testing how to. I still can't do it and I refuse to invest in a camera as expensive as it apparently has to be.
Lesson learned from this batch: appropriate size, but need darker background.

So, here goes. The basic 6 Orcs, rather bulky, replace the original game's Fimir in stats.
And the *Play-Doh factory* that leads the heroes into a trap in "Race Against Time".

Orc Behemoth. I chose that word for a Warlord/Warrior Chieftain because I like it and I hate the word Champion being used for everything.

Guardians, replacing Chaos Warriors.
They are basically the warriors and bodyguards and knights of houses that rally behind Morcar's intentions.
There will be several batches of miniatures I paint up as the guardians from different houses.
Very wide variety of designs, played with the same Chaos Warrior stats.

I'll take a wild stab in the dark and say it's hair.
Crusted from dirt and dyed with thick paste.

Tahnks. Painting these details is very important because these blades are just huge shiny surfaces.
I could have gone with some more washes and shadows but I went with a reasonable amount of "weathering".

Yeah, that guy is a basic study of light situations. I should probably take another picture of him in a 3D dungeon.
He's in dim cool light from his left and the glaring hot light from the torch.
I didn't much care for blending on him, specifically to show off both sources of light fighting for the highlights,
the flickering of the torch, and the sharpness of the shadows.

Now that you say it... i thought it was coming from the real light situation on the photo.

At least i see that even a skilled painter like you has the same torch sickness like me

I seem unable to get them right.

There are two ways to make fire: yellow inside, red in the middle, outside dark. That makes it nicely glowing. However, it's not blood red. Its more like rust red.

The other way to make fire is black inside, red in the middle, outside yellow. Like a candle flame. It's "realistic" but doesn't glow so beautifully. Better suited for big area flames.
I tried last time to do the second way on a small torch of a model, and i think it was a mishap.

New pictures of my Wights, basically replacing Zombies.
I don't wanna use the word Zombie because it's so culturally specific and I try to make the language of my background world based around real world English and other Germanic languages.

Wights have MOV 3, ATT 2, DEF 3, MP 0, BP 2.
They cannot be the target figure of a control spell (except for the Necromancer hero, which hasn't been written up; control is an icon used on spells that clarify exactly which spells are affected by the special rule.
