Posted: October 24th, 2013, 8:25 amThey look pretty useful, but I don't think they are really necessary for HQ. Most of the tie there are only a few monsters active at a time and they don't have that much health that monitoring it like that is really needed.
Also I rather like the distinct style of the HQ bases

Posted: October 24th, 2013, 9:28 amI cut the HQ bases off of almost every HQ mini I owned, at one point. I've since put them back on, but that's only because of you bastards' influence on me.

What!? 800 minis? Screw this! Round bases for those who are not on HQ bases. Bought a freakin' thousand and change for 30 quid from the UK.

Posted: October 24th, 2013, 2:15 pmI use a table-vice with rubber pads and a razor saw to remove the bases. In pretty much every case, they were still able to stand up on their own without need for a base.

I didn't do anything to my minis. Only thing I'm sad about is that I HAD an unopened box for RotW
