I'm quite pleased with how these turned out. I intended to try out the GW glazes on the two on the left (one green & one red) but I'm not sure if I want to anymore......

Gundam markers are their own deal. They're sort of painting through attrition. FIrst off, the markers work best on plastic. If you've never tried to paint a Gundam model (I used to collect them, Gundam XX, ftw) acrylic paint just sort of fails. Gundam pens have small darks for detailing crevices (half the job) and fat brights for smearing marker paint everywhere. I just started buying them molded in color, and would do the line-work. Then I sold them.

Thanks. I'm not sure they are perfect. The axe blades could definitely be better, I just couldn't work out how to shade/highlight them.
They were great fun to paint as I experimented a lot (especially with mixing paints and also with edge higlighting) and it was good to see it all work.

I wanted to have two different colours when I was finished. 2 dark chaos warriors similar to the one in the pictures on the front of the box (very dark but not painted the way GW do them) and 2 much lighter chaos warriors that I could try some of the GW glazes on but I used too much wash on them and they all ended up looking very similar.
