Piazo's Pathfinder is using 3D printers for their prepainted minis, and it shows. They have more action and detail than HQ figs, but lots of people prefer it while finding proxies--so here are some suitable ones (I think). I included prices at Auggie's online store for reference, unless specially noted as MM for Miniatures Market.

Yet anonther large figure Yeti ($4.49) sans horns, shaved, and dressed (but still huggable). Also a small-figure, runt Ice Gremlin. How big does the guy need to be to steal, anyway?

Ogres (first ogre $3.79, third ogre $3.99)

Mercenary Scouts (first one $1.99, second one $3.99--too bad he has a bow)
ImageImage

Passable Sinestra($2.00 at MM) and a (not so) Giant Wolf ($1.99) with the right pose. Also a Werewolf ($2.29) in place of the marker.

Alternative Witchlord ($9.50! at MM) and possible Kessandria ($2.49)
ImageImage

Skeleton($2.50 at MM), Zombie ($1.69), and withered Mummy ($2.00 at MM)
ImageImageImage

I like this Orc ($2.49), possibly for a captain

Finally, these Goblins are cool (first two $2.49, others $2.29)

Don't like those mini's at all to be honest... PAthfinder has much better sculpted mini's, these look awefull... Maybe it's just the simple paintjobs?

I'm pretty happy the Kickstarter Bones project is growing steadily, and it has nearly everything you could possibly need for a complete HQ replacement set.

True, Pathfinder has better prepainted minis. I limited these choices to HQ proxies. This selection is for those who don't have the time, skill, or inclination to paint. Painting a set yourself can provide superior results, but most don't take it that far. A compromise could be to "dip" some of these, or even do washes and retouch highlights. Personally, I think the Mercenaries need the most help. Probably should swap in a new shield, as well.

If you're willing to put in the painting time, Reaper's Kickstarter can't be beat. I'm looking forward to getting my set of figs as well, but it's gonna be a long wait. I should get some of my other projects cleared beforehand.

Black Tree Design is nice you could even make Doctor Who Hero Quest....http://www.blacktreedesign.com/northame ... cat=2351as
even has some nice funiture and stuff to add to your collection
Also i don't know if it has been mentioned but I personally use some of the lord of the Rings minis easy enough to get orcs and goblins, you could get a nice skulmar out of the witch King. If you don't have mercenaries from Barbarians or Wizards. I would go for Gondor Soldiers yeah you would have spears instead of halberds and Bows instead of crossbows and you would still need either swordsman or scouts but i would use Rangers of Gondor for scouts myself. There is the USA site but if you go to your locale game store you may get a discount I did when i used to play it.
