Thanks for the scale picture, it has cemented my decision to purchase some Fimir. They are honestly eye level with Savage Orcs, just a lot bulkier. I think if you compare newer Orcss with HQ Orcs and these with HQ Fimir you will see a similar amount of scale creep.

Aye, But they come with 40mm bases. So if you use the standard HQ board, it's a bit big. I print out a new board at the local print shop, they laminate and mount on foamcore, so 40 mm bases cover one square.

This also allows to use warhammer ogres and even dragons.

which miniature is the male barbarian? Looks somewhat alike Wolf from Hasslefree (the one Ampresand used), but the sword is different, and I think the shoes are too. :?:
Have a look ;)

All the heroes are from Reaper miniatures.

It's Dantrag of Heimdall by Sandra Garrity.

One of two Conan look-a-likes I bought. The second one, I felt was a little too large.

But it does generally create a lot more work. And may require some kind of support if the legs are too spread to fit the smaller bases. If you've managed to somehow mount a warhammer chaos dragon on a hero quest base, I'd be summarily impressed..

There we go again. A Dragon on a HeroQuest board. I do not have the time to post everything I find to be wrong with that picture.
